Steele O'Neil & Associates - Targeted Wage Subsidy Program

Targeted Wage Subsidy (TWS) is a federally sponsored employment program that enables employers to recover up to a percentage of the new employee wages when they hire eligible applicants for full-time permanent positions.
The program is designed for individuals who are finding it difficult to find permanent, full-time employment in their chosen occupational field.

Services are provided to clients referred from Employment Assistance Services offices in:

Port Alberni, Tofino and Ucluelet

Visit your local employment Centre to see if you are eligible for the Targeted Wage Subsidy Program.

Targeted Wage Subsidies provides help to gain on the job training and valuable work experience.

Eligible Participants

Unemployed individuals on a current EI Claim, or
Whose EI benefit period ended within the last 36 months, or
Who are re-entering the labour force within the last 60 months of a maternity or parental claim.
